Finding the right size

We know that finding the right size can sometimes feel tricky — especially during pregnancy or in the postpartum period. But don’t worry: your perfect fit is just a step or two away! You can easily determine your size using one of these two methods:

Mamalila jackets tend to run slightly larger than many other brands. So be sure to check your size using our chart.

Pregnant or recently given birth? Simply order your usual size. Thanks to our thoughtful inserts and expanding features, every mamalila jacket offers enough room for your growing belly or for carrying your little one underneath — up to around 2 years of age.

2. Measure your body

Measure twice, buy once — and wear it for years to come!

Taking your measurements and comparing them with our size chart is the most accurate way to find the best fit and reduce returns — which also helps us all be a little kinder to the planet. All you need is a measuring tape and a few minutes.

No tape? No problem — you can use any piece of string or ribbon and measure it afterwards with a ruler.

Here’s how to do it: Wear the kind of clothes you’d normally wear under your jacket, and hold the tape loosely against your body.

1. Chest

Relax your arms and measure around the fullest part of your chest — horizontally around your body.

2. Hips

Measure at the widest point of your hips and bottom.

3. Arm length

Start where your neck ends (often where your T-shirt begins), measure over the shoulder, down the elbow, and to the wrist.
